Bolivia: Police Mutiny and political instability

Photo: www.france24.com

Police remains mutinied in Bolivia demanding levelling up their wages to the same amount military officers currently earn. Public figures showed a difference of up to 40% in these two wages.

A new round of negotiations is under-way while Bolivia's cities remain without guard or police assistance for the seventh day.

The government insist that behind the protest is a "right-wing" coup plan. Independent and citizen media reject such allegation.
